The house was founded in 1847 by Louis-François Cartier, in Paris, in one of the streets of the historic center. In a short time, their prestige grows thanks to the more and more exclusive clientele, including the royal families. Indeed, in 1904, King Edward VII of England named the house as official supplier of the English crown (which also made the royal families of Italy, Greece, Portugal and Spain). This allowed Cartier to also develop abroad and to assert itself definitively as an undisputed high-end jewelry brand. The story of Cartier is not made only of metals and precious stones.
