Founded in 1775 in Paris by Abraham-Louis Breguet, the Swiss manufacturer of luxury watches, is one of the oldest in the world. The brand can boast the creation of the first wristwatch in 1810 and the invention of the tourbillon in 1801. In 1780 the brand has created the first automatic mechanical movement, called Perpetuelle em>. This invention is the first real success and consists of a platinum oscillating weight that recharges the spring to the movement of the watch. The first Perpetuelle watch was sold to the Duke of Orleans.
